Chasing Blue: Río Celeste & Wildlife

Some places don’t need filters. Río Celeste is one of them.

We hike through the rainforest of Tenorio Volcano National Park, listening to the sounds of the jungle as the trail slowly leads us to that first glimpse of blue. And when you see it, it’s worth every step.

The 2.5-hour hike is steady and scenic, with time to take it in, not rush it.
 

Beyond the waterfall, we visit a local wildlife sanctuary where sloths rest in the trees and colorful frogs add bright flashes of life, all waiting to be discovered.

Private transportation, a knowledgeable naturalist guide, cooler with drinks, snacks and a traditional Costa Rican lunch are all part of the day.. So you can simply enjoy the experience while we take care of everything behind the scenes.
